Celebrating Love, Movement, and Community at a Valentine’s Day Kids Yoga Event

💖 I am so excited to be teaching Kids Yoga at this awesomely fun Valentine’s Day community event! There is something especially magical about bringing movement, mindfulness, and play together on a day dedicated to love — especially for our littlest yogis.

A huge thank you to the Junior League of Savannah for inviting Tybee Yoga and Healing Arts to be part of such a joyful and much-needed gathering. It truly means the world to share yoga, breathwork, and playful connection with children and families in our community.

Why Kids Yoga Matters — Especially on Valentine’s Day

Kids Yoga is about so much more than poses. It’s about:

  • 💕 Emotional awareness

  • 🧠 Mindfulness and self-regulation

  • 🤸‍♀️ Healthy movement and confidence

  • 🌈 Play, imagination, and joy

On Valentine’s Day, these practices gently reinforce themes of self-love, kindness, and connection — lessons children can carry with them far beyond the mat.

I can’t wait to move, breathe, laugh, and celebrate together. This event is going to be truly special.

A Full-Circle Mother–Daughter Moment 💗

This event holds an extra layer of meaning for me. My daughter, Payton Kinkel, will be assisting me, and our journey into Kids Yoga is deeply woven into our family story.

Payton and I trained together during a Kidding Around Yoga certification on Valentine’s Day weekend, earning our certification in February 2020, just weeks before the world changed with the pandemic. We turned that weekend into a loving mother–daughter “date,” renting a house in Jacksonville and completing our Kids Yoga training side by side.

Now, she’s 20 years old, and having her assist me at this Valentine’s Day Kids Yoga event feels like a beautiful full-circle moment — rooted in love, growth, and shared purpose.

Grateful for Community Partnerships

Community events like this remind me why I do this work. When organizations like the Junior League of Savannahinvest in family-centered wellness and joyful experiences, the ripple effects are powerful.

I’m honored that Tybee Yoga and Healing Arts gets to contribute to spaces that celebrate:

  • Community connection

  • Children’s well-being

  • Inclusive, accessible movement

  • Joyful mindfulness

See You on the Mat 💕

I truly can’t wait to move, breathe, laugh, and celebrate with everyone. This Valentine’s Day Kids Yoga experience is going to be extra special, and I’m so grateful to share it with such a loving community.

With so much heart,
Laurie Kinkel
