The beauty, flow, and expertise of Tybee Wellness Retreats, named One of America’s Best Wellness & Fitness Retreats for 2025 by Newsweek
The hands-on, real-world beach yoga mastery of Tybee Yoga and Healing Arts
Together, we offer a retreat that is both educational and deeply nourishing.
Why Beach & Outdoor Yoga Training?
After years of teaching at Tybee Wellness Retreats, Laurie noticed that many retreat participants who were 200-hour yoga teachers had never practiced on the sand, or even outdoors at all.
Teaching beach and outdoor yoga presents unique challenges. This certification encompasses all outdoor yoga teaching: beach, parks, mobile & pop up classes.
Uneven and shifting terrain
Wind, sun, heat, and weather considerations
Voice projection and class safety
Sequencing and cueing for unstable surfaces
Student accessibility and injury prevention
